Coping with my feelings through vidding
Jan. 28th, 2022 02:07 amTitle: Something Beautiful
Fandom: Critical Role/The Legend of Vox Machina
Character/Pairing: Ensemble
Music: Something Beautiful - NEEDTOBREATHE
Content notes: It's a bit flashier than my vids usually are. Physical triggers, flashing lights at 00:06-00:09, 02:36-02:38, 02:49-02:51, 03:04, 03:13-03:15 seconds. These are all from the cartoon credits and logo sequence so if those are OK this won't be an issue. There is also a lighting effect at 02:53, which is from the original Critical Role credits from campaign 1, so again, if you are familiar and know you are OK with that that also won't be a problem. The pandemic as a theme comes up from 01:19 to 02:10.
Summary: "Waiting for something beautiful." A vid in which I attempt to express my feelings waiting for "The Legend of Vox Machina".

Date: 2022-01-28 06:55 am (UTC)I really love the meta-story (almost mythology, now?) of Critical Role's success, and you've captured it really well here: this gives me the same kinds of feels I get when I read about Hamilton becoming successful. You've laid out the timeline so well here, from the Kickstarter to their voice recording, and then exploding out into dozens more actors and artists getting involved too: there's a lovely sense of scale in the progression. it's good <3
Watching the show, I overwhelmingly felt like I missed their faces? Like I love the cast's faces a lot, and watching them improv, and seeing how they feel about the story choices, is a big part of the enjoyment of the story for me. So this vid complemented my watching the show... perfectly.
